Early in the morning, you look outside. The sky is misty. Clouds move along the near shore. Raindrops pour down the roof and the windowpane. The wind blows through the crippled trees. Nearby some crows caw as the rain starts washing away the fog. As time passes by, finally the sun breaks through the endless grey and birds chant cheerfully...

Midraouir presents seven reduced, melancholic ambient pieces build around field recordings from various hikes in the mountains, forests and at the sea. The samples are accompanied by deep, analog basses. Simple chords and melodies are topped by wavetable sounds, granular textures and white noise.
